President at City Roofing
Miami, FL
Shortly after Hurricane Wilma wreaked havoc on Florida, Candy and her husband seized the opportunity to start City Roofing. After witnessing many fly-by-night unscrupulous contractors taking advantage of homeowners, including themselves, Candy and her husband set out to change the way homeowners should be treated. In 2006, Candy and her husband started City Roofing with a mission to make a difference. Together, they built one of the most respected and highest-rated roofing companies in South Florida gaining over 1,000 5-Star reviews along the way.
Learning the business from the ground up, Candy worked hard to lay a foundation for City Roofing while raising five children. To say time was limited is an understatement. Despite time limitations, Candy still found the time to start a charitable organization called The Gingerbread House Project, which is now called Raise the Roof Miami (raisetheroofmiami.org). Each year, her organization gives away a free roof to a family in need.
In 2021, Candy’s husband, the company’s president and visionary, decided to step away. Without hesitation, she stepped up to the plate and took on the responsibility. During this time, the company lost key positions, however this did not discourage Candy’s efforts. She hired and trained new personnel, modified the organizational chart, developed new accounting measures to precisely track production costs, ran sales appointments, implemented a new sales process, and as you can imagine the list goes on. Candy is making a difference every day through her efforts with City Roofing.
