A National Contest to Help Canadian Veterans Facing Adversity
We're teaming up with veteran friendly roofing companies to deliver and install all of the necessary exterior roof repairs/replacement to one (1) veteran home, and three (3) runners up will receive $2,500 toward roof repairs. In addition, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Beacon has also added a fifth finalist award; $1,500 to help complete necessary repairs.

Veterans are currently employed by Beacon.
Many Veterans who have served our country often face adversity in the years following their service. The hardships they endure include financial issues, unemployment, health related issues (mental & physical), homelessness and so many more.
Beacon of Hope was created to give back to our Veterans who are in need of a basic necessity: a safe place to live. We hope to inspire our employees, customers, and communities to come together to help us in our efforts to provide our Vets with a "Beacon of Hope."
Open to any qualifying Veteran, so long as the entrant resides in a province or territory of Canada other than Quebec at the time of entering the contest, and so long as the entrant is 18 years of age or older. You can nominate yourself or another veteran from November 2 through December 7, 2020. In order to qualify, you will need to submit three photos of your house or the house of the person you are nominating, a picture of the Veteran, and a brief explanation of why you or that person is deserving of winning the “Beacon of Hope” contest.
