After graduating high school, Betty joined the United States Air Force (USAF) and served as a Sergeant from 1968-1972 with the hopes of helping to provide for her mother and herself. Upon her return in 1972, Betty and her mother purchased a home together which they have now owned for 46 years. Betty is a single mother who worked long hours to provide all that she could for her family. Betty’s mother passed away 25 years ago and unfortunately, due to financial hardships and unforeseen circumstances, Betty has been unable to keep up with maintenance and repairs on the house. Although her son considers her a superhero, she also knows that, “Superheroes need help too sometimes.” If you’re inspired by her story, please vote for Betty.
