Tim served seven years between active duty in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Air National Guard deploying to the middle east several times between 2004 and 2011. During his last deployment to Kuwait in 2008, he suffered a brain hemorrhage which rendered him to be unable to do his civilian job, and he was put on medical leave from the National Guard. He still struggles with his injuries and he is 70% service disabled, suffering from memory loss, migraines and PTSD among other long lasting effects.
